ISPs that allow you to share
If you live in the USA you might be interested in these list of ISPs that allow sharing:
PersonalTelco list of ISPs that allow sharing
EFF list of ISPs that allow sharing
In the meantime the FON team is working hard to sign agreements with ISPs. If you are a ISP that is willing to support FON see FON for ISPs.

If my ISP does not allow this FON sharing (as oppossed to free sharing) I might have to switch to an ISP that does. This is something that ISPs should consider as a marketing strategy to attract customers like myselft, who would like to have wireless access throughout the world but are unwilling to pay the U$S 40 per month that it usually costs.
Hi, Ejovi,
I wanted to let you know that the EFF list is sort of abandoned. I've tried a few times to get the EFF to consider updating it, and I believe they have attempted to get newer information. I hope that Fon will develop a new, definitive list of ISPs that allow or encourage sharing (or don't restrict it). This would be useful for Foneros and others, and would be widely linked.
Thanks for the comment Glenn. We are looking into a easy way to manage and publish the list. Hope to have something up shortly!
It took me a while to find this page with these lists. A number of Fon-curious have been relying on Wikipedia.com's FON article to see friendly and unfriendly ISPs, perhaps the link to this page should be posted up on Wikipedia? Or Wikipedia's list whould be updated? Pronto?
Having an up to date listing of ISPs on Wikipedia's FON article would increase FON's exposure greatly, as it would make it easier to have questions answered.
Just a thought.
