Nokia N810

All I can say is wow! I liked the N770. When the N800 came out I thought it was great but needed a full qwerty keyboard. Today Nokia surprised us with N810! Of course it has wifi and lots of other goodies including GPS, Bluetooth, VGA Camera, Skype and a full slide out qwerty keyboard! I want one! Now to convince the wife we need one! Let me know if you have actually put your hands on one!

This doesn't play video well, Youtube doesn't work on it. There isn't any video-on-demand for it. But it's cool that it has Skype, SIP and a bunch of open source apps.

la fonera has brakes wifi standard with regards of power managment, making N800 and N810 unusable without hacks on fonera...

What nhippi said: I'm pretty sure the n810 is a very cool device (the previous tablets sure are), but don't expect your Fonera to work with it...

Actually, Youtube does work on the device. It does play video. If you ask me well, I would say I have seen better, however, it is not poor by any means. Secondly, several last minute tweaks by Nokia have been integrated into the platform since 10/22/07.

With a Linux encephalon and a Nokia backbone, I expect a fine machine. Playing video is not an issue for the n810, the real problem perpetuates in the fact that most people think it's a cell phone replacement or wonder if this is the "Iphone killer". This is a tablet with VoIP capacity; a different breed of communication device. Needless to say, I will definitely get one.

@Jussi - why not? Previous models did.
