Can a company run an election among its clients to hire its executives?
At FON we think we can. At FON we are now appointing, country, city and neighborhood leaders who are all volunteers to get FON going. But we think that half a year is the maximum amount of work we can ask from people who are volunteers. After that we will hire some of these volunteers as employees. What´s new about FON is that it’s partly a company and partly a social movement. Instead of using headhunters, place ads and go through other conventional means, we will have elections in countries and cities and hire our employees through this process. So in the future if you want to work for FON, you have to run for election and win the votes of your local fonero community.
