FON Maps iPhone App!

Our maps let you search for restaurants, bars, and FON spots wherever you are. Now our maps are available as an iPhone application! Now you can easily find FON Spots on the go. Best of all the app is free, just like WiFi access for our members!

Hi,
I installed FON Maps on my iPod Touch. Pretty neat. Seems to show only active FON spots. Fine with me. What is the the "i" button for? All I can see is that it makes the Fon spots disappear.

Two suggestions for the app:

1. How about native zoom in/out functions. You're used to use two fingers to zoom in any maps in iphone instead of having to push single buttons.

2. Somethimes when you're traveling, you don't have wifi or a data plan. How about a way to search from home before the trip and save capture of the maps or some sort of a cache of your last browsing?

What about an offline version without GoogleMaps or with openstreetmap? (no licensing issues)

The GPS 'you are here' locator doesn't appear to be very accurate. Other than that it works fine.

Just try the app "Spots". It works great for me. It does not need internat connection and has a database of all FON (and others)

Any chance we will see a Palm Pre app in the near future?

@JKHawkins - I'll suggest it. It sure looks like the pre is going to be a success so it may make a lot of sense.
