Which version of the Linksys router is shipped with fon? (to know what I should download). And what do you mean with traffic filtering? Is that traffic shaping? And, I did change my SSID with Fon, before I registered my router, so it was possible before?
Anyway, A step in the right direction! Now, 2 networks!

Why did you remove local users? I used that to connect with my PSP, now I have to type out my whole email address (not a fun thing on the PSP).

I'm also concerned about the lack of local users. Is this an oversight, or, if not, why was it not in the release notes?

Guys, the local users functionality was removed because the fonero will be able to add/remove local users remotely via the FON user interface on the website, set to be launched by the end of the month. Bear with us a bit longer, we've got some awesome new features on the horizon. You won't regret the wait. ;)

It may just be me, but I utterly fail to percieve the awesomeness of taking perfectly functional controls out of the local admin pages. You're going to cheerfully reply "oh, but now you can remotely administer your router anywhere", to which I immediately reply "then leave the function in the local admin pages so i can administer my router when there are internet outages or your servers are down. Without a doubt, the foremost reason I would want to add local users is as a temporary workaround when noone can log in because your servers are unreachable. For heaven's sake, THINK, people!

i think fon is a great idea, and basically bound to work out well, but right now it's a wildly amature startup from what i can tell. choosing to downgrade the firmware before they upgrade the remote admin is one example. their web site as a whole is another. the entire thing feels constantly rushed out the door.

I know this is off topic.
But when will I be able to charge for access?

Read our lips:

DUPLICATE router management controls hosted on fon's website = COOL.
REMOVED router management controls from router's web server, resulting in unnecessary, and technically unwise dependance upon fon's servers = UNCOOL.
