Router Status Now Available in User Zone!

We've implemented a new feature for owners of multiple Fonera's called "Router Status". You can access this through the User Zone in the Configure Your FON Router section. This new feature shows the status of all your Foneras. Our intent is to help improve uptime since some routers may become accidentally disconnected. You can now log in and confirm that we show your routers as online. This is quicker then checking the maps or driving around town! Currently this is only available to owners of multiple routers but we're going to expand it to everyone soon!

UPDATE - Now owners of a single La Fonera will receive a large bold message int the Configure Your Router section if there router is offline!

There is even an easier method available without logging into the Fon maps or Fon user zone.

I learned it from the French FrancoFon Community :-)

* go to http://maps.fon.com and locate your hotspot
* click on your hotspot and choose for "share this localisation with a friend" and send it to yourself
* In the email that you receive copy&paste the shortcut "FON Social Router Location"
* create fon.html in notepad
*
[body][a href="http://maps.fon.com/?lt=50.8994064331&ln=3.19938182831&zm=17&lang=en"]
[/a] FON_Demo[/body]
* The "bold" part is the "paste" of that Router location. for the image itself you only need to replace the numbers with your own from that location
* replace the [ with
* Legend : Green/Crossed : ACTIVE; Green : Not active ; RED/Crossed : Invalid
* example: FON DEMO

Hi guys. Please make the FON_AP page more iPhone friendly. You know it is possible to use CSS screen resolution selectors to detect the iPhone browser and you could do that to serve up a custom CSS stylesheet for the iPhone. Then offer a page that fits in a small resolution which will and allows me to tab to the user/password fields more easily.
