Excite Japan invests in FON
Excite Japan Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan today announced it has become a strategic investor of FON. After the press conference, the shares of Excite Japan went up 41 points from 230 to 271, before trading was halted due to Japaneses stock market regulations on daily price movements.

FON in Singapore!
The La Fonera router made its debut in Singapore during the recent Singapore IT Show 2007. The reception was absolutely ecstatic. The booths were very well visited and a large number of routers were sold during the 4 day event. The La Fonera router is now available at retail shops in Singapore at SG$39.

FON Raises US$13 Million!
We are happy to announce that FON has raised another US$13 million dollars [HK$101.4 million], for a total of around US$35 million raised since our incorporation in Feb 06. Funds were raised from a combination of current investors including Martin Varsavsky and 4 new strategic investors whose identities we will disclose soon.
Proceeds of the round will be used for R&D and growing the number of FON community members around the world. We’re already present in over 80 countries and this new funding will allow us to pursue many of the great ideas everyone has shared!

我們很高興地宣佈，FON 剛成功集資了一千三百萬美元（約一億港元），由 2006年 2月到目前為止，FON 一共集資了三千五百萬美元資金。
這些新資金是從現有及新的投資者成功集資得來的，這包括了 Martin Varsavsky 和四個新的策略投資者，他們的身份將會在不久的將來公開。

FON enthusiastic about the latest Government WiFi plan, but...
It’s nice to see WiFi evolving and coming of age all over the world. The Hong Kong SAR Government recently pledged to provide free WiFi for the public at various government venues. Such high-level initiatives are precisely what the WiFi community everywhere needs, and here at FON we are enthusiastic and supportive of all efforts to improve WiFi coverage in Hong Kong.
But it can be done a lot cheaper!

New software for FON
The FON WiFi Connection Manager for Symbian devices is a free tool developed by FON for Nokia WiFi phones users (Nokia E60, E61, N80, N91, N92, N93 and N95 models). All Foneros who own one of these phones are now able to connect them to thousands of FONspots.
Free Skype Calls without the need for your computer! Thanks to this Skype certified software developed by FON, all Foneros who are also Skype-FON WiFi phone users will be able to make free calls through any FONspot around the world without their computer.
